Aswell as the codd we had afew other patents in use in New Zealand, all bar one are from the UK. Again all of these are from the same soft drink company

6 Internal Thread bottles, 3 are name only, the other 3 are dated 1891, 1902 and 1918

These next lot are more interesting

Starting from the left we have the Gledhills Patent, this was a New Zealand designed bottle, hard to come by and one of my favourites, then we have a large and small sized Lamonts Patent both dated 1883 and finally 2 Hogbens Patents, one name only the other dated 1881

Thats it, thats all of my Gilberds and bottle collection so far, I will post new ones when I get them but thats my whole collection so far, I hope you have enjoyed seeing pictures of them all, I am very proud of my collection and i hope it provoked some interest

Thank you, its taken afew years to put together, to just collect from one soft drink company makes it even harder but in the end is a more rewarding collection and shows the evolution of the soft drink bottle. I was lucky enough to dig afew in my collection too and its always such a thrill to dig a bottle that you dont already own. I just got another one today, my 14th dumpy glass ginger beer, a lovely example. I now own 76 differently embossed Gilberd & Co soft drink bottles
